Talking to Journalists: What You Need to Know

Introducing our Talking to Journalists Postcard

Download the card (English)

Developed in partnership with PublicSource.org, our Talking to Journalists postcard educates individuals about their rights and what to expect when approached by reporters. Available in English, Dari, and Pashto, with Spanish and Nepali translations coming soon, it serves Pittsburgh’s diverse immigrant communities and is adaptable for other regions.

Our collaboration with a local newsroom in Pittsburgh underscores our commitment to supporting local, independent news sources. We believe rebuilding social trust begins with trusted, community-based journalism.

We are dedicated to equipping journalists with the tools they need to fulfill their vital role responsibly and accurately without compromising the safety of immigrant communities. Resources like the Talking to Journalists Postcard and the Immigration Reporting 101 guide foster responsible journalism that respects and protects the lives and stories of immigrants in the U.S.
