My mother crossed the border in 1990, she was six months pregnant with me. My father had dreams of becoming a lawyer in Mexico. They left everything behind for a better future for their family. My parents sacrifice everything they had for us. I will be starting my field placement internship in my masters program through the University of Southern California. My parents taught me one thing, to use my career to make a positive difference. The only way I can ever repay a portion of what they have done for me, this crossing that stage receiving that diploma. They will continue to be my motivation to continue to fight for my dreams, and their sacrifices.
