This degree is for my parents and all their sacrifes. I am a first generation Latina. At the age of 11 my parents moved to the United States following a better life for me. Growing up I never thought about college and being an illegal immigrant I thought that college wasn’t for me. Being a Dreamer and DACA recipient open many doors for me because for the first time I felt like college was a possibility for me. On June 17, 2018 I graduated from Eastern Washington University with a BA in International Affair with a concentration in Socia-Global Economics and a Minor in Economics.

Let's Talk

It's time for a new conversation about immigration in America, and it starts with us.
