An American is someone who works hard to achieve their dreams. Americans aren’t tied by blood, language, skin color, or blood. American are tied by the bonds of friendship and brotherhood. Americans are tied not by their differences but by their similarities. Anyone can be American. Anyone can be a brother or sister. Americans are people who know that inside we are entitled to the same rights not because of privilege or worthiness but because we are people. Americans are family. We are all adopted but we are still family. We love and care for each other. We cry and grieve for each other. Americans aren’t tied by paper or certificates. Americans are tied together just because they are who they are. They are tied because they know that only together can we pursue the pursuit of happiness.Only together can we make this world a prison or a palace.
