I came to the United States when I was barely 2 years old and I have been living here as long as I could remember. My parents are hardworking immigrants who have contributed to this country as much as any other American by paying taxes and sending to school hardworking children. I believe that if I had the opportunity to live legally in this country I would do so much more with my life like travel, go to college, get a good paying job and drive legally.

As of right now I am a high school senior who has recieve acceptance letters from many colleges, but sadly I will not be able to pay for any of them because I cannot recieve any federal money. I have worked really hard through out my years in high school by keeping up with homework, volunteering in my community, and I am a leader in so many ways at school but all this work will go to waste. I will probebly end up going to community college because it is affordable and transfor when I gain enough money from a minimum wage job.

I will continue to fight because my parents have taught me to be strong and proud of who I am. In my mind, I am American.

Let's Talk

It's time for a new conversation about immigration in America, and it starts with us.
