When I came to America for high school, I knew it was going to be a completely different life style for me. During the four years of high school, I have made friends with local people and also international students. Maybe it is hard to define American just in a single word; however, I can feel how they struggle and persevere in everything, no matter what happen. I have seen American who disregard immigrants, think the immigrants take their homeland and jobs. But I have also seen American who are enthusiastic and kind to everyone. They are willing to help me anyway even though myself has already given up. They always tell me that “you will get it, just keeping doing”. They are patient on everything no matter the issue is theirs or others. For those who do not welcome immigrants, there are people who are trying and working hard to make them believe that we people are all the same. For four years, I have been looking at these people seeking for equality and the process they have done. Now I understand why America is a country stands for freedom and equality, because there are many Americans are trying toward this and believe this is the rights for everyone. I believe this is why I want to stay in this country for my future.

Let's Talk

It's time for a new conversation about immigration in America, and it starts with us.
