Vargus has asked for a conversation, which means to hear out the other side of this issue. America is on the brink of another historical economic depression. Too many American citizens are homeless and without social services because an illegal immigrant has their job and entitlements to survive. All of us are ready to do manual labor, now. By being in the United States without following our federal laws is causing anger – resentment amongst many, who are legal citizens. Moreover, many feel this illegal violation of our laws are purposeful, arrogant, and ignorant acts of contempt against America (i.e., one has a right to be in this country without getting a green card). This is a request to please make a good choice: either follow the rules by filling-out the appropriate paperwork, learn English (speak, read, write), take the classes, and recite the pledge of alliance to be an American citizen or go back home to your country of origin. The resentment is not going to go away, it will get worst, and more states will be passing laws to give the hint “Go home or follow our laws”. Best advice: if one wants to stay in this country, then apply now, before the policies and procedures become harder to attain American citizenship. If I go to someone’s house, social –cultural rules dictate that I respect and be polite to the owners of that house. If this is true, why cannot the citizens and government of United States of America have the same curiosity as you expect for your homes? This is why we are angry, and some discriminate. I believe the anger is not so much about you personally, as a people. But more because of your behaviors in American society (e.g., speaking Spanish, and not trying to converse with our citizens in English…among other things), and the defiance toward not following our federal and state government laws. Thank you.
