Being brought by my beloved parents into this great country at such a young age, has really impacted my ideals and values towards defining who I am. Although I am of a very proud Latino heritage, I familiarize myself strongly as an American. I characterize myself as an American because i have lived in America practically all of my life. I associate myself with other Americans, I carry myself as any other native to this country would carry themselves. Associating myself as an American does not mean I am denying my heritage but the total opposite. The beauty of who I am is the fact that i have gotten the opportunity to see both sides of the spectrum, from both a Hispanic and an American point of view, something very few people get to experience. Something that as a dreamer I feel should be essential to everyone though, would be the equality of an education, which is why I am pursuing this. I would love to demonstrate that myself, along with plenty other dreamers, are capable of achieving great things and becoming great intellectuals and contributors to the country we now call home.
