Bryan Ovidio Rojas-Araúz, reflects on his lifelong journey through academia in the U.S. starting at the age of 13 and the challenges, barriers and victories that have come with his academic experiences and lack of documentation. Today, as a counseling psychology doctoral student at the University of Oregon, Bryan looks back at his story his process of critical consciousness building, identity development and transitions from being undocumented to applying to his citizenship, as well as the shifts that have taken place within himself and the work he has done and continues to do with immigrant communities which have developed his character as a scholar-activist.
